For those of you who can’t get enough garden inspiration through books or pictures, try going on a garden tour, you won’t regret it. Before your summer weekends start to get booked, now is a great time to put these events on your calendar! It is fun to wander through people’s gardens admiring their hard work and creativity and is an opportunity to meet and talk to the gardener themselves! Also, if you are considering getting chickens and want to see other people’s coops and chicken set ups, check out local chicken coop tours. Last summer I spent some time at tours scouting gardens for my book and had a blast. Some tips to get the most out of garden tours or chicken coop tours:
- Plan ahead and map out the gardens to save yourself from getting lost
- Make yourself a lunch and bring some water
- Carpool with friends
- Take notes and pictures so you don’t forget what you saw
If you know of a tour I missed – contact me and I will make sure it gets added!

of course- lets plan something! When I playing frisbee with Spanky the other day I was thinking that we need to have Kula over again soon!
We just went on a tour recently, and we enjoyed it very much. Garden tours always give me good ideas. Welcome to Blotanical!
